Abandon extrovert nature and become introspective :
Introspective life is the very base of making progress toward bliss of Maharaj day by day. For that, one should cultivate a habit of doing all activities such as seeing, hearing, speaking, eating, wearing clothes etc. with restraint during life. ...
Cultivate habits of chanting Mantra of God and say prayer:
Chanting of Mantra and prayer is the broom to cleanse the conscience (Antakaran). As we chant more and more Mantra and say more and more prayers; more and more filthiness of conscience would be cleansed thereby. Thereupon, our love towards Maharaj also will be developed to higher- and higher-level day by day and obsession of connecting with the form of Maharaj is kindled. ...
Profound love and affection for God:
Before meditation, we should be completely detached from love and affection for everybody and everything and develop excessive love and affection for only one Lord Swaminarayan. So far as we are attached to anybody/ anything we can’t develop profound love towards Murti; without development of profound love towards Murti; elevation to status of Anadimukta is not possible and we can’t experience bliss.
Realizing the importance of meditation, we should firmly resolve to meditate:
The main spiritual endeavor of karan satsang to accomplish the status of Anadimukta is meditation. Meditation is a potter’s kiln, where soul become mature for the bliss of the God and become worthy of status. Status is not accomplished by any other means except meditation. Realizing such importance of meditation, one should firmly resolve to practice meditation daily and continuously.
Everything except Murti, should be virtually burnt during the day:
which is indeed false in reality should be eliminated in our memory then only we would stabilize in Maharaj until we are entangled in the worldly affairs, it is impossible to stabilize in Murti. Before meditation everything except Murti, should be virtually burnt body and world, nothing is there. Only Maharaj is here. We should indulge in such conception.
Who am I? Practice thereof:
We should practice who am I? while doing activities during the day every now and then, forgetting all other things. Maharaj has transformed me (soul) into Anadimukta and surely kept me in the bliss of Murti. We should practice such practice of parbhav so that parbhav is solidified and we stabilize in meditation.
Restraint life:
For advancement in meditation, it is compulsory to abandon extrovert nature and indulge in introspection and for introspective life first of all to lead the life of restraint is compulsory and to lead restraint life ‘per force’ matter must be followed. 1. Whatever we must see or know perforce, only that much we should see and know. 2. Whatever we must hear perforce, we should hear that much. 3. Whatever we must speak perforce, we should speak that much. 4. Where we must go perforce, we should go there only. 5. Whatever we must eat perforce, we should eat it, and that much only. 6. We should sleep for as much as we must perforce.. 7. We should not wear clothes unbecoming of the devotee of God.
